The inaugural meeting on the planning for stakeholders’ public dialogue on National Quality Policy for Nigeria which was scheduled for today Friday 6th September was held at the NiNAS headquarters, Asokoro, Abuja.

In attendance were the representatives of Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Standards Organisation of Nigeria, World Bank Group, United States Pharmacopeia, USAID-CNFA and Nigeria National Accreditation Service.

The main outcome of the meeting was an anonymous agreement for the need of a public dialogue on the review of the National Quality Policy involving relevant stakeholders. This proposed public dialogue will bring together key stakeholders to deliberate on the way forward. A national secretariat was then setup to drive the process.
