NiNAS is celebrating World Accreditation Day on June 9. This day marks a global initiative, established to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation. The theme of World Accreditation Day 2026 focuses on how the power of accreditation supports Innovation, Trust and Sustainability. NiNAS is a signatory Full Member of Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated, Global ACI in the scopes of testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, medical laboratory, Management System Certification, Personnel Certification and inspection bodies accreditation. We use this opportunity to assure our stakeholders that NiNAS, in line with Renewed Hope Agenda of our President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, is ready to support our economy with relevant accreditation services. In our silent but very important role, we build trust and confidence in our trade of goods and services.

As inspection body accreditation continues to evolve, competence, consistency, and harmonized implementation remain critical to credible accreditation outcomes. To support this transition, the Nigeria National Accreditation System (NiNAS) will convene a focused training programme for Assessors, Accreditation Advisory Committee (AAC), and Technical Committee (TC) Members.
The training will provide practical insights into effective assessment approaches, accreditation decision-making, and the transition to ISO/IEC 17020:2026, while reinforcing alignment with international best practices and strengthening assessment excellence across NiNAS operations.
